Why Mexico?

Why Mexico?

Investing in our country has been a seductive idea for many visionaries and entrepreneurs. From the big oil companies at the beginning of the 20th century to the sophisticated and dynamic startups, they have found in this territory the right conditions to further develop their business models, not to mention their dreams and aspirations.

Although global conditions are governed by volatility and uncertainty, and the dangers of a recession stalk countries without distinction, here we know what it means to grow both in times of prosperity (anyone can take advantage and profit in these circumstances) and in the most adverse times.

Over the years, many international organizations, governments of developed countries, rating agencies and large financial corporations have spoken of the Mexican Moment and the long-awaited date when Mexico can capitalize on its countless expectations of a promising future. Unfortunately, this view from the outside is biased. They have not realized that “that” moment is not in the future and neither is it located in the distant past, but has always been a continuum; a constant present where many visionary foreigners arrived by impulse or conviction and found the ideal place to give shape to their most cherished projects, the only way they knew it was to decide to come and make it happen.

Below, I share some of the reasons why I believe you should put Mexico on your roadmap for your expansion and growth plans:

If you come to Mexico you are not alone. Practically all over the country, Mexican companies have joined together in business chambers, associations and economic clusters, many of which include the participation of government entities, universities and civil society to create ecosystems conducive to the sustainable and humane development of economic activity.

Given the economic consequences of the pandemic, many companies have moved their operations to Mexico, due to its strategic position and in an effort to shorten supply chains and make them more agile. Although we have had historical problems that have yet to be resolved, this has not prevented more companies from relocating their operations here.

Obvious but no less important. Many companies aiming to enter the U.S. market do so through our country. For example, a chair manufactured in a plant established in the northern part of the country can enter the United States without tariffs, while one shipped to the United States from China would have a 25% tariff.

Practically every state in the country has high-quality technology parks and research centers. In addition, we have been able to consolidate a human capital of international stature that allows us to have the talent required for both traditional industries as well as for disruptive and new companies such as fintech.

Our country is versatile and multifaceted. Here you will find endless spaces, places, people, moments and memories that will resonate in your mind and spirit. Not only will your business grow, but you will surely scale to a new and improved version of yourself.

It is our desire that through Mexican Quest you can live this great experience that has endured over time, which adapts and updates with the passage of time, but always in the background retaining the appeal of being a source of inspiration for visionaries and entrepreneurs.
